Comparison Chart: Donor-Advised Fund, Private Foundation, and Supporting Organization

With a donor-advised fund, or what we call a Giving Fund, you can give up to 50% of your adjusted gross income in cash and up to 30% of your adjusted gross income in publicly-traded securities. But with a private foundation, those numbers drop to 30% and 20%, respectively. That's one of many comparisons in this helpful chart.
